NOTICE OF FILING DEADLINE SOUTH LAKE RECREATIONAL WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT VALLEY COUNTY, IDAHO
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: There will be three Board Member seats up for election on the South Lake Recreational Water & Sewer District Board in May 2023. Two seats are for a four-year term. One seat is for a six-year term. Declarations of candidacy must be filed by emailing slrwsd@outllook.com or by mail to P.O. Box 647, Cascade, ID 83611 no later than 5:00 p.m. on the 17th day of March, 2023. More info can be found at www.cascadecleanwater.com.
Individuals who run as write-in candidates must file a declaration of intent no later than 5:00 p.m. on on the 24th day of March, 2023.

South Lake Recreational Water and Sewer District
We hope the following information will help you understand and better participate in the efforts of your district. Your involvement is encouraged.
Election Process:
- Elections are held on every other odd year in May, and each seat is a 6yr term.
- Elections are held by the district, only final results are submitted to the County. We may also use the County to verify a candidate owns property in the district and is a U.S. registered voter.
January: Notice is posted in the local paper notifying public about our upcoming election that May. Interested individuals are referred to our website or email for more information and required forms. A deadline is also posted to contact us of their intent to run. January to Mid March
March: If there has been interest in the open seats, an election is planned by our office in May- If no interest, current members hold their seats until the next election.
BUDGET
We hope the following information will help you understand and better participate in the efforts of your district. Your involvement is encouraged.
Budget Timeline
- Our financial year runs from 1 Dec thru 31 November
March: Office receives letter from Valley County with Taxable Value for each Taxing District to set levy rate. A deadline to send in Budget Hearing Dates accompanies the letter. 2019- April 30th.
April: Board decides when Budget workshop and Budget hearing are to take place. 2019- May 17th & July 19th.
April/May: Budget workshop & hearing dates are posted twice in the local paper.
May: Budget workshop is held. Proposed budget is posted twice in the local paper.
July: Budget hearing is held. Final budget is posted once in the local paper & submitted to the county.
